A cutting edge handler for plows and motor grader blades.

Replacing cutting edges on heavy equipment can be a real pain in the back. Wrestling a bar of steel up to 12 foot long, tipping the scales at 140 pounds, is no fun. So, you get two or three "he-men" to wrestle it onto a cart, wheel it to the work, and muscle it into place. Back injuries, smashed fingers or toes, and a workers' comp. Claim can result.

Now, along comes three Blade Buddy. The no. OTC 5083 cutting edge handler lets one person bring the blades to the plow and raise them into position comfortably. The cutting edge rests on the cradle at the correct angle, and the unit rolls easily on four swivel casters.

A 4-ton capacity hydraulic jack raises and positions the cutting edge so it can be easily bolted into place. The Blade Buddy handles a range of cutting edges from 3 feet to 12 feet in length on front, wing, and underbody plows.
