The unique upper "FLOATING HEAD" design adapts to the angled top seat found on many MacPherson struts allowing a uniform compression of the spring. The coil spring may be retained in the compressor for strut shock or cartridge replacement. With 20" of stroke even the longest spring can be replaced, if desired. The heavy duty acme thread is designed for quick spring compression and minimum maintenance.

3-point lower hook design positively grasps the coil spring. Vinyl coated hooks protect the epoxy coating found on certain MacPherson strut coil springs. The outboard hooks easily adjust horizontally to fit the wide range of spring diameters and vertically to fit each springs specific helix angle for even compression of the spring.
